This study was designed to document immigrant experiences with wage theft—defined as the illegal underpayment or nonpayment of wages—in New Mexico. It builds upon yeas of work by activists who collected anecdotal evidence on the often-deplorable working conditions faced by immigrants—and undocumented immigrants in particular—in the state.
